CMM is located in the Northeastern corner of Mexico.  It is a border city with Brownsville, Texas right across the Rio Grande. 

Matamoros is in the state of Tamaulipas.   

Con Mis Manos ministry headquarters are a short 20-minute drive south of the closest international border crossing.

Public services, medical care, educational options are often non-existent away from large Metropolises such as Monterrey or Mexico City.

Matamoros has an estimated 1800-2000 Deaf individuals with no public education or opportunities.  Sadly, the lack of services often breeds discrimination, neglect and isolation for Deaf children, teens and adults.  Families often feel hopeless and fearful for their Deaf child. 

Con Mis Manos exists to bring hope to the Deaf community through a variety of practical outreaches.

NO.  Just as people speak different oral languages throughout the world, sign languages are also different.  There are over 300 known sign languages throughout the world!  For Deaf individuals in Mexico, their heart language is called Lengua de Senas Mexicana (LSM). 

Believing EVERYONE has a right to learn they have a name, they have value and purpose, and they are loved by God, Con Mis Manos purposes to welcome Deaf individuals of ALL ages to participate in all ministry activities.  Currently our youngest student is 4 yrs. old and our oldest is 46 yrs. old. 

All activities are free of charge in order to remove financial barriers for families. Most come from extreme poverty where the next meal is a constant struggle.  Families simply do not have the financial abilities to pay for schooling, transportation and other activities. Con Mis Manos strives to never turn away a new participant due to lack of funding.  The ministry is blessed to partner with individuals throughout the U.S with a heart for investing in providing a brighter future for each CMM participant.
